Prison Fellowship Hosts Advance Screening of The Chosen Season 6, Episode 1, at Carol S. Vance Unit Ahead of Public Release
Three cast members make a surprise appearance in prison and join a post-screening panel discussion with incarcerated men following the exclusive preview
HOUSTON, Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Prison Fellowship the nation's largest Christian nonprofit serving currently and formerly incarcerated people and their families, announced today that it held a special premier screening of The Chosen, Season 6, Episode 1, on Saturday, Sept. 19, at Carol S. Vance Unit, a prison located in Richmond, Texas. Many of the incarcerated men who attended the event are longtime viewers of the series because of a partnership between Prison Fellowship and Come and See that made previous seasons available inside prisons nationwide.
The special event also featured a surprise appearance by three cast members from The Chosen who spent time engaging with the approximately 200 incarcerated men in attendance. During a panel discussion, the cast members shared words of encouragement and answered questions about the series. Season 6 of The Chosen will premiere for the public on Nov. 15, 2026, on Amazon Prime Video.

To support these connections, Prison Fellowship has partnered with Come and See to develop discussion guides for Seasons 1–5, specifically for people in prison to encourage deeper, faith-centered conversations and strengthen family relationships.
The special screening event at Carol Vance is another demonstration of Prison Fellowship's mission to encounter Jesus with those behind bars, advance second chances and strengthen families impacted by incarceration.
